Renault – Two Different Takes

September 22, 2009

The papers continue to spew reams of outrage about the Renault verdict yesterday, however I have read two very different blog posts today, coming at the incident from unrelated angles, and both are worth considering.

First of all, the ever-excellent Joe Saward outlines why the WMSC decision was probably correct, and why the sport won’t miss Flavio. Secondly, Nick at F1Rundown shares his thoughts on the way Nelson Piquet Jr has been treated compared to Lewis Hamilton, following the events at Melbourne earlier this season. It’s an interesting and reasoned take on the matter, and something I hadn’t seen compared elsewhere.
